Far from home...Montreal.
Was he really homeless or desperate for a brew?

What do you intend to do with your collection?
Are these mostly fm TX?

what is your intention with collecting these signs? they make me sad, but the message is fierce. you really should do some outreach with these. very powerful. just my 2 cents. sorry.

I once brought home some homeless kids- they stayed with me for 3 months and stunk up my apartment. They kept raiding the dumpster at Dunkin Donuts and bringing garbage bags full of smushed crap home- I finally took them to Yuma and left them.

Wow--I neglected to check this site out! How do you get a hold of all these? This one's great though--it's good to see the some homeless can at least retein a sense of humor while riding the storm out.

I know I'm wondering- do you take photos of these signs, or do you actually take them home? This is all so intriguing. Great idea... and sad, but that doesn't mean it's not good.

You should set up a pay pal account for people to donate so you can give $ to these people. You're spreading their plea... we should all help them now that we've seen their messages. ... or I could just make sure I give to the next poor soul I come across myself. Both good ideas, I think!

I used top fly a sign. It was fun. *smile* My favorite was "Need Beer, Please Help" and upside down on the back it said "Need Help God Bless" for ease of quick flippability when trying to appeal to different types of folks.

Tha sign got all three of us manning the signs a 40oz beer, and $5 from just one truck.

Being homeless was an experience to remember, that's for sure. Thanks for the memories.

Also, I think the gallery showing of these would be terribly appropriate for these, as overpasses and off ramps are the most popular places to be when one is flying a sign. Not insulting in the least to those flying signs, I promise you.

I aught to know, when I was doing it, I lived under a bridge. *chuckle*

Most folks don't leave their signs lying around though, so mayhaps these you have gathered are success stories in their own right? I'd love to know where you found them as well.

Great site..Reality is so "bad" sometimes..Even worse that there are actually this many signs out there to take shots of! Great idea and concept but very saddening at the same time
